Venezia Wine and Food is a limited liability consortium, committed to the development of integrated projects to promote the area of the eastern Veneto. Wine and traditional local products strongly characterize the territory, from the fields to the table. Venice Wine and Food promotes synergies between the various parties working in the area, and aims to fine-tune strategies to promote the local entities and their products of superior quality.
The aim of Venice Wine and Food is the creation of an innovative promotional model for the area, working through the aggregation, harmonization and interaction of the activities concerning different sectors, such as culture, art, tradition and local products. To achieve this goal we must look beyond the single sectors in themselves and share experiences to create value, whilst respecting the individuality of each branch. Venice Wine and Food aims to identify new business areas, and to evolve communication in an integrated way so to enhance the image of the territory. Also, we whish to make the most of the heritage of events and initiatives already present in the area.
A even expanse, apt to viticulture for centuries, gently goes down from the hills of Treviso to the mouth of the Piave River, crossing the Venetian hinterland to expand towards east till the far eastern border of the province of Venice, and then down, until it brushes the coast overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Here excellent red and white wines are produced: two DOCG (highest certification a wine can achieve, stands for “controlled and warranted designations of origin”), the “Lison” and the “Malanotte del Piave”, and three DOC (label just a step below the DOCG, stands for “registered designation of origin”) the “Venice”, the “Piave” and the “Lison Pramaggiore”.
Among the typical products of the Venice lagoon and the Venetian hinterland there are flavours of sea and land. Quality agri-food products that have conquered even the international markets and the most demanding palates.
